On George Martin’s involvement: George wrote the world lore, before the shattering. Basically he crafted a fantasy setting and Fromsoft created and wrote its apocalypse. That’s my understanding from the circling info. To make things clear for the idiots because we’ve accidentally become a top comment: GRRM was a CONSULTANT who wasn’t responsible for writing the game. He wrote like 10-20 pages of lore then FS team wrote off of it, probably discarding whatever they felt like. Don’t expect game of thrones lmao

Elden Ring is a legitimate masterpiece. It’s really nice to see a game living up to the hype for once. Best open world I’ve ever experienced, immense amounts of content, sorceries and incantations look great and play incredibly well, and overall I can tell just how much the dark souls archetype has been refined. A+ Miyazaki, 10/10
