Update on Friendly Jordies Firebombing Perpetrator Sentencing and Investigation Gaps

Learn why the perpetrator in the Friendly Jordies firebombing received only five years, and understand the critical lack of official inquiry into who hired him for this coordinated attack.

Short Summary

  • One perpetrator in the 2020 firebombing of Friendly Jordies’ home received a 5-year prison sentence, nearly three years after the incident.
  • Speakers heavily criticize the light sentence, viewing the organized attempt to kill or frighten the journalist as functionally attempted murder.
  • The investigation seemingly failed to examine the motives or identity of the individuals who planned and paid for the attack, despite recognizing the perpetrator as hired muscle.
  • This outcome stands in stark contrast to the disproportionate legal resources previously used against Friendly Jordies for simply making corruption-exposing videos.

"He was a hired goon that performed the attack." "Did you ask who hired him?" "Don't worry about it."

Only 5 years for attempted murder is insane. Bring him to real justice.

Not to mention that the Australian News literally doxxed his address after the bombing by showing still shots of the street sign he lives in, the number on his mailbox, and saying the suburbs name.

The fact the firebomber got LESS TIME than David McBride (who is a whistleblower against the Australian Government for 'allegedly' committing war crimes) is absolutely ridiculous EDIT: clarifying that David BcBride was the whistleblower. He did the right thing and the Government jailed him to silence him. People in my replies don't seem to get what I'm saying

"Who hired you?" "You did, your honor." "Oh, right, well, strike that from the record, clerk."

As an Australian viewer, thank you for covering this. The way Jordan Shanks has been treated by our usual media outlets is astonishingly biased. Government and gang corruption has to be at an all-time high here currently..
