Little Nightmares III Demo Review, Economic Value Assessment, and Stream Commentary

Evaluate the surprising short playtime and high cost of Little Nightmares III against its atmospheric success, while catching up on developer context, industry news, and future streaming plans.

Short Summary

  • The Little Nightmares III demo showcases strong series atmosphere but suffers from gameplay differences and a short runtime (2.5–3 hours total).
  • The game is developed by Super Massive, not the original Tarsier Studios, who are working on a new title called Reanimal.
  • The host confirmed the death of infamous musician Ian Watkins earlier in the stream.
  • Future content commitments include diving into the Battlefield 6 campaign and continuing the Digimon playthrough.

This session focuses heavily on the preview of Little Nightmares III, comparing its execution and perceived value against the franchise's pedigree. The discussion also integrates contemporary news, such as the passing of convicted sex offender Ian Watkins, and sets expectations for upcoming gameplay sessions, offering a blend of critique and casual media consumption.

People be talking about how the game was "too short" yet little nightmares 2 was pretty much the same length😭

Length wasn’t the issue. Little nightmares 2 has big reveals and word building that gave answers and questions. Little nightmares 3 did not. The new studio had big shoes to fill and fell a little short. Hope the og studio making reanimal cooks again

It's a shame that this game doesn't live up to it's predecessors (and it's 40 dollars? crazy)

I think this game is a little better when you play co-op. You both have to figure the puzzles out together. The computer kinda just shows you the answer. It isn't as good as the first two but it is better with co-op.

Some dumbass actually said “they 100% should have charged more.” This has to be either rage bait or insanity. Ppl actually advocating for companies to overcharge, it’s laughable. Same issue was present with Dying light the beast but nobody says anything.

Man, this game just oozes that creepy, overthinking vibe. Like my brain at 3 AM trying to figure out if I locked the door, but with more monstrous hands. Seriously though, the atmosphere is *chef's kiss.*
