This Copyright Investigation is Crazy

Imagine a racing simulator game sueing another racing simulator game for "stealing" the goal of winning a race.

"Movie Games, Creator of Drug Dealer Simulator Sues Cartel for Unauthorized Live Action Remake"

They basically said "no we don't want to stop them, we want to profit off of them." Which is 100x worse considering they has absolutely nothing to do with the game.

an entire game company "investigating" a singular developer just because he made a more successful game is hilariously pathetic

"there is no ill will" *they say as they start investigating on the day of release*

A juice company making a problem out of a kid successfully selling a lemonade

You cannot own a genre, you cannot own the idea of selling drugs, you cannot own game mechanics. This is extreme greed

As someone from a legal background this is 100% a share holder or two kicking up a fuss and forcing their hand to investigate. The tone difference between legal documents and public facing releases makes perfect sense because in legal documents you have to make your claims very boldly and pull back later.

Imagine having enough money that you can make a totally bogus lawsuit, flush thousands in legal fees and lawyer bills. Just to get people to notice your game
