Is Youtube Streaming A Failure

I still prefer youtube cause i don’t want a 6 minute ad every time i open a stream

As a grown man with a career and little downtime, I'm not watching anything on twitch. No pausing, ridiculously long ads, and for some reason the video quality is always trash on my devices

YouTube is way better for those of us who just want to watch livestreams like they’re regular videos. I hate Twitch’s video player and VOD system.

Even streams that have a multistream, I’ll watch on YouTube. You can PAUSE and REWIND twitch could never comprehend this dark magic

I checked out a Twitch stream recently and was hit with an unskippable 3-minute block of ads. Don't know about content creators, but I'm sticking with Youtube streams.

I will watch a youtube VOD every day before I ever watch a Twitch vod. The number of ads you get on Twitch is psychotic

Lurkers are the silent majority. When I'm watching something, I don't care about chatters and don't even open chat, and therefore I vastly prefer YouTube because of its player, the ability to pause/rewind/2x.

I’m so glad people are talking about the ads on twitch. It’s quite literally miserable

Ludwig did describe it best for which viewers prefer which platform. The Chatters will prefer Twitch because of the culture there, while the lurkers who just want to be in the background watching the stream prefer YouTube because it has the best player.
