I signed up for YouTube, not a damn nightclub

Back in the 2010s when I was a teen we were taught NEVER to share our real identities online. The government is asking for it on a silver platter now.

The AI decides on your age based on what you watch. Great, so if you are a kid who already watched adult content then you can continue that. But if you are an adult who watches "too much" videogame or pixar movie content, then you are categorized as a kid and will be restricted. What a great fucking system

So they show ai porn ads, but instead of that, they decide to remove our privacy. Smh youtube

What happened to 13+? What happened to “If the kid lied about their age they are fully responsible for their own trauma”? What happened to parents doing their job and parenting?

It has nothing to do with "kids safety" its censorship, control and surveillance.

crazy to me that 16 year olds where i’m from are able to legally consent, legally get married with parental approval, learn to drive, drink alcohol under parental supervision, earn minimum wage and can legally drop out of school with no parental approval needed whatsoever…….but won’t be able to access youtube until they turn 18.
