Analyzing the Louvre Heist and Organized Crime's Grip on Professional Sports Betting

Discover expert analysis on how the brazen daylight robbery at The Louvre occurred and why massive sports gambling scandals are booming due to sophisticated organized crime involvement.

Short Summary

  • The Louvre heist involved extreme speed and suggested an inside accomplice, crucial for bypassing security measures so quickly.
  • Stolen crown jewels are likely being dismantled immediately, making recovery difficult as demand exists on the Dark Web for high-value gems.
  • Experts detail how high-stakes gambling debt turns professional athletes and coaches into willing, discreet participants in point-spread manipulation schemes.
  • The recent bust in US sports gambling, involving four major organized crime families, suggests this widespread corruption is just the visible tip of the iceberg.

Piers Morgan convenes an eclectic panel—including an art detective, former mobster, and career criminals—to dissect the mechanics of the Louvre theft. The discussion seamlessly transitions to exposing the deep infiltration of organized crime into major global sports leagues via high-stakes gambling operations.

Description

The audacious heist at The Louvre has captured the world’s imagination after four men in construction vests pulled up in a stolen furniture truck in broad daylight and used an extending ladder to break in and raid display cases with disc cutters, taking off with France’s priceless crown jewels in less than seven minutes. Their loot included a diamond necklace given by Napoleon to his second wife and now more than 100 investigators are working on the case. The first arrests have been made - but the world is asking, how could this happen in one of the busiest museums in the world? Piers Morgan speaks to world-renowned art detective Arthur Brand before further discussing the case with Ashton Bingham and Artsiom Kulik, hosts of the new Fox series ‘Scammed: Getting Even’, former mobster Michael Franzese, Larry Lawton AKS YouTube’s Jewel Thief and Cain Vincent Dyer, who was once one of the most prolific bank robbers in the US... Piers has dozens of political guests on each week and they fight, yell, argue, shout, call each other names etc (Which I enjoy btw, ) yet here, 3 ex criminals come on and its perhaps the most agreeable episode ever. Good stuff.

You are trusted with the most historically important jewels of France, and you keep it behind a paper thin glass enclosure. I mean, who's the head of security in that place?! They broke the glass with a crowbar for crying out loud, let alone how they got in and out.

Notice how literally criminals have more respect and only talk when asked, you have left and right showing no maturity 🤣🤣

I love how Michael Franzese is quiet throughout a lot of this interview, but is smiling knowingly when other people make key points 🙂
