To those of you who think, like Piers, that NDT is against colonizing Mars, all he is saying is the equivalent to this, "If you have the technologies and the capabilities to build a new house, then you must have the technologies and the capabilities to fix your current house." That's all he's saying, "if you have the technology and the power to terraform Mars and ship people there", then you must have the technology and the power to fix Earth and save the human race from whatever danger there is.

This just makes me see Piers in a whole new way. I thought he was malevolent, but he's just not great understanding things, probably because he can't listen properly and pay attention.

He's a part time comedian. His best joke is "I'm a scientist". His full time job is a political activist.

Neil is really good at explaining stuff and Piers is really really good at not understanding stuff.
