We are blessed with so much Quinn lately and I'm so here for it!

I love how many things Dick predicted. Recently I read The Penultimate Truth and in that novel, the government is actively using what is essentially AI deepfake documentaries about WW2 (because nobody alive at this time can remember it or knew someone who was there) and a robotic automated president to keep poor people in underground bunkers so that the elite can enjoy their territories on the surface. Him basically using AI deepfake disinformation/misinformation videos as a story device in 1964 is extremely disturbing. That’s just one of MANY things that Dick basically accurately, and terrifyingly, predicted with weird accuracy.

Tbf. Farmers also engineer life for later consumption. So cosmic horror depends on if you are the farmer or the cow.

I won’t lie, when I started this video I thought it was gonna be some run of the mill sci fi horror story that Quinn was going to cover. Of course an average Quinn video is already S-tier when compared to the field but even for him of course there are levels. This is an S tier video. I agree with you Quinn. I almost can’t put into words why it’s so terrifying. I think what unnerved me the most is the words that the Leader utters. It’s like a poem, but not intentionally. It gives the ultimate feeling of omnipresence but not in the traditional way, like the “I herald your beginning I herald your end I herald galactus” way, where it’s a clear statement of omnipotence, or even pure evil, like “the bones of your descendants for a billion generations will be ground into powder and be the beaches for the oceans of their blood” type thing. It’s almost like we’re getting a shaky connection to some mind that has so many connections it would collapse our mind into a black hole if we could fathom it truly, and even the glimpse we get, it makes enough sense so that we understand the magnitude and control it possesses, but it’s almost like texting someone you’re interested in but that you don’t really care if you end up dating them. so when you’re texting, you don’t spend the time to construct your texts carefully, you almost just vomit put something that your brain has scraped together with the minimum amount of energy to convey the most basic point of what you want to say across, and you don’t even care if it gets delivered. And that glimpse, that text we get, is still batshit crazy poetic hell horror.
