Ashley Johnson playing Ellie’s mom and Troy Baker playing David (or even just a henchman, I don’t care Troy Baker is awesome). What an awesome way to pay homage to the voice actors that brought this story to life 10 years ago.
The use of "Take On Me" calling back to one of the best scenes in TLOU II ❣ Ashley is playing Anna, Ellie's mother and Troy is playing one of the members of David's group
If Ashley Johnson is Ellie’s mom and we get that scene (birth scene) I will cry. So symbolic, such a love letter, this has such potential.
The more I see of this adaptation the more I’m excited. Pedro Pascal as Joel is always *chefs kiss* and I love how they got the same actress for Marlene. Next month can’t come soon enough 💯
Man I’m just speechless at how amazing this looks. Guys that bloater at the end holy shit! Also as a huge fan of the first game this looks like something truly special. January 15th can’t come soon enough. Also I’m super grateful the show is in the hands of Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann because they both get it since Craig is a fan of the game and Neil created the games of course lol. I also loved hearing Mazin’s thought process for this show because it shows he’s really committed to making this the best show ever. Man how lucky are we as fans to get this? Also great reaction my dudes!
I am 99% sure that Ashley is playing Ellie's mom, and it'll be a flashback to when she handed her off to Marlene. Marlene told us about in the game, but it'd be cool to see too! I am so excited for this
The fact that they used Take On Me, which was played by Ellie in TLOU 2 is so fucking cool!!!!
