WE NEED SEASON 2. PLEASE GREG, GIVE THE SHEJECTS THE GO SIGNAL
Hey guys, Greg here. I want to personally address why we decided to stop covering the Chucky series with Tara and Roxy. It’s not just about views—though that’s the easiest metric for viewers to see. The reality is, I pay everyone involved in these videos. Theres a whole team Involved in this season of Chucky. As long as we break even through ads or Patreon support, we’re good. Despite people telling me to focus on profit, I’ve cared about just breaking even. Not the wisest "business decision"' but here's the truth: it's a business but it's also soooooo much more than just a business. Same time, Many YouTube channels run as businesses and may not be transparent about it, but I’m here to be real with you... This channel is so much more than just a business; it’s an extension of my soul, an emotional journey for me, i grew up on camera here and requires vulnerability - and in the past year it's so much about the team, and our community. That's why the middle ground I had to find in this journey of being fortunate enough to employ many people now is a simple three-part metric: what do we want to cover, would our current audience want to see it (or attract others), and are we breaking even on it? It's literally mind and heart first, then concern yourself with numbers. Before deciding to end the Chucky series, Tara, Roxy, and I had a long discussion. It wasn’t just about numbers; we also addressed emotional aspects. Let me ask you this: if you were running a channel, investing a few thousand dollars per season, and saw you weren’t going to break even, would it be smart to continue? It’s not just about my hours; it’s about everyone involved. I prioritize paying the team before myself. I care about Tara and Roxy’s time and want to give them opportunities for more exposure. If you were in my position, I'd assume you'd consider that too. After covering the costs of this season, we didn’t come close to breaking even, and viewership kept declining. It’s a whole team to consider, and we gave it a full season. Regarding the notion that I’m jealous, I honestly don’t understand where that comes from. As much as I want to lash out because I dedicate so much of every day not just to videos but individual or small group time with everyone here, I have to reexamine myself because maybe I’ve come across that way somehow for enough people to interpret it. That’s not me at all. It would be IDIOTIC for someone in my position to be jealous. I know so many people who have let ego for spotlight destroy their friendships and have had so much resentment directed towards them from those who work with them. It's a constant here that I hope others would attest to my efforts to steer away from ever becoming a company like that. I want success for everyone here. Our meetings focus on lifting each other up, empowering, and helping one another. Our first group meeting was centered on recognizing each other’s strengths and being willing to offer help or be there if someone wants it. I'd like to think that everyone here knows my character as someone who really cares about elevating them. I've said this to others and to them—Roxy and Tara's ability to connect with viewers, especially as two women in a primarily male-dominant channel, is so impressive and often better than myself. I let others lead the videos because being a good leader means supporting your team, not needing to be the favorite. Running a business involves leadership, and a big part of that is taking responsibility. I know I’ll get blamed for things and not always get credit, and that’s okay. My job is to lead, and I failed to lead by not recognizing that this season might not succeed based on declining viewership trends. Before we started covering this, we had long talks about whether to do it. We decided to take a gamble because you guys were watching their Chucky movies, but in the end, it didn’t break even. It wasnt an easy decision, it took quite a while to come To that decision. I anticipated this response and I should've prepared this beforehand - failure on my part to anticipate some of the things said, while others I did anticipate, regardless seeing what you all are saying will Help me and team because the more time goes on, the more we want it all To be group decisions so thank you for your feedback. No matter how harsh some of it may be, there is a lot I personally have to learn and will Continue to. I hope this helps you understand where I’m coming from. Thank you for your support and understanding.
At this point, you HAVE TO react to season 2!!!! Come on! 🥺🥺
I'll be so fucking pissed if they don't watch season 2, they watch way worse shows that get way less viewership than this series does.
Im so sad it's ending here. Season 2 answers a lot of questions you two have had about previous movies. I really hope Greg reconsiders after seeing how much we all love this series.
Now hold up we canceling chucky but still got high school musical the show going? A scammmmm 😭😭
I’m going to cry over this, I literally subscribed for this specifically 😭
Not me having to unsubscribe in protest 😭
