The one thing/line that got me wanting to see this movie was the closing line of the teaser trailer. “Can you find the wolves in this picture?” So powerful.
Def read the book if yall get the chance. Im sure the movie covers a lot of the main story through Mollie Burkhart's view, but the wild thing about the book is realizing how thorough the corruption was, and how many more Osage were likely murdered beyond what was confirmed, even decades after the time period covered here.
Imagine having no older relatives, aunts, uncles & cousins, because they were killed out of greed. The repercussion is real and continues.
Can’t wait to watch the movie. I’m from Oklahoma and belong to the Cherokee tribe. Fun little thing for you guys my mom is a stylist and actually got to do an event with the main actress from the movie recently. I also got to meet one of the main extras from the movie recently as well when he came into my store. His name is SB hons’sa and he’s Choctaw. If you see the movie he’s wearing a top hat and orange sash.
This movie hooked me emotionally. I was a wreck after watching it. Partial disbelief that this had happened. I’d never learned about it. And partial disbelief that anyone could do this to anyone. I can’t remember ever despising a character De Niro played, but I think this might be the one. He was great, but, his character was awful.
A lot of the Native actors weren’t actors, but real Osage that consulted with Scorsese, specifically the tribal elder that had some great speeches. The best method actors can’t match the timber in that guy’s voice. That’s a voice that not only says Osage, but says he’s grown up and lived in Oklahoma.

It could have been a great union if not for the corruption. The Osage were willing to trust and share their culture. It seems so beautiful, and the scene where it was encouraged to sit still and listen to the rain was a reminder of how much we take for granted.
You guys should be official hype men for movies because I wanna literally buy a movie ticket at 10 in the morning
Bro, when he said, "Let me step in." I died laughing
