This scene automatically would have took the spotlight from The Riddler. In my humble opinion, the scene was simply captivating and unsettling. I can’t wait to see what Matt does next with these characters.
Love how scary he looks and the fact that Joker was probably this Batman’s first villain in his career
“Maybe he’s a fan, or maybe he’s got a grudge against you” I love that both of those are true, since he’s a fan of Batman, but a grudge against Bruce Wayne
He convinced me in this scene that he's the joker. Definitely would've stolen the spotlight from the riddler, IMO. I can somewhat see how people has compared this to the silence of the lamb.
I love the line “Think you don’t care about his motives Whether he loves or hates you, I think you’re just terrified because you’re not sure he’s wrong, you think they deserved it” In a way he’s right, Riddler isn’t 100% bad until he floods Gotham and tries to massacre the city and Batman knows why he’s doing stuff and in his mind somewhere he agrees with him, But his morality is telling him, NO BRUCE, HES A PATHETIC PSYCHOPATH
Pattinson and keoghan will be giving a psychological thriller chemistry of Batman and joker , as it’s going to be much more intense and horror.
This version of the Joker really does look like he fell into the acid, which I think it a really cool touch! The scarring, the hair falling out, the boils and blisters, and even his iconic smile looks like a chemical burn! I was also amazed by how quiet he was. I think I'm trained now too expect the joker to be flamboyant and loud in his mannerisms, barking out laughter at the top of his lungs, but honestly these more quiet, quick laughs make him seem so much more unhinged! Really excellent stuff
Imagine being Batman and having to deal with this crazy motherjoker and the Riddler for a living. Both interrogation scenes are incredibly well done, creepy, demented but so damn entertaining to watch. I feel Batman has just as big of a fixation on the Joker. I also find it funny that neither one of them are intimidated by the other but seemingly more interested in figuring the other one out.
This unexpected drop of The Batman's deleted scene was just a shock in a good way. Barry Keoghan plays it as a deranged psychopath with a Hannibal Lecter twisted personality and definitely gets under Batman's skin with ease in this deleted scene. When you think about it serves as the perfect catalyst to setup the story in The Batman. The whole blurring out the Joker but at the same time kind of giving that nice setup is so perfectly shot in this scene. The look of the Joker is based on I believe Death of a Family/New 52.
