Honestly, I don't understand why the press is so negative about Sinners' opening weekend. Even Ben Stiller is questioning Variety's reporting on Sinners' box office performance: "In what universe does a $60 million debut for a studio original film justify such a title?" No one seems to care about the $320 million budget (e.g., The Electric State, Red Notice, The Gray Man, Rebel Moon, etc.) of streaming movies that no one remembers three days after their release, but suddenly everyone's making a fuss about an original theatrical release. It really seems like other studio executives and mainstream media figures are against the film and its financing: hatred and criticism towards Warner Bros. and David Zaslav (and they deserve it), Warner Bros. winning a bidding war, Coogler securing at-cost contracts and future rights, and major streaming deals sealed before the film even came out. Glad you mentioned it, Dan
One of the best things about this podcast is when Greg and Coy are open, honest, and vulnerable with their struggles. Just want to let you guys know the transparency is greatly appreciated, it’s helped me with my mental health a great deal. Thank you both 🙏🏾💖
I really like that they mentioned S.A. in star wars. No one can tell me that wasn't something that occurred during imperial rule, when the imperial military was given cartel blanche to do whatever they wanted to do. It's a real life issue that should be brought up and if it makes you uncomfortable, good. That's what it's supposed to do. I think it was very evident from season 1 that this show was geared towards an older audience.
Greg, I have said it a bunch of times before, but I will say it again this podcast I look forward to every week you are one of three that I enjoy as a podcast, not just solely for comic books but as a podcast and currently you are at the top of the list as soon as the second episode, I put you as the number one of only three that I will listen to in relation to this type of experience in conversation you’re really really good at this, and I hope this expands even more great job my man, you are truly a testament to showing when you really workat a specific goal and you really wanted to work it will
So glad to see Coy in DC
Always look forward to these podcast videos on these types of discussions❤️❤️ Congratulations Coy!!!🙌🏽❤️
Greg's panicked "F**K!!" when Abby's group has Dina at gunpoint is something I keep coming back to when watching his reaction with Andrew and Aaron. That was the response of a guy who knew the inevitable was coming
