Did they ever realize Pooh was whipping Christopher Robin with Eyores tail? It was detachable and had a pin on one end.
Fun fact. Eeyor in the original shows and cartoons is voiced by Peter Cullen....Optimus Prime himself!
You guys are braver than I am. Also, Tigger is in the sequel which comes out tomorrow (yep you read that right).
Eeyore being the only character that actually stays on four legs might also be a reason for killing him off in the backstory. That way they don't have to deal with the logistics of it haha
We shot this before all the Sequel stuff was announced lol 😅 Who're y'all looking forward to seeing join the POOHNIVERSE???
"I wish I could do that with my ponytail" . . . "I'm gonna tell him." "Don't you dare." "Someone has to tell him." The whip being used on Christopher Robin was Eyeore's tail you see it clearly in a few scenes. It was literally a pony's tail. EDIT Apparently if you listen closely they put a donkey sound in the sound to cue you in as they didn't have time to put a bow on it.
"he's coming to kill us" "Who?" ... does it really matter >who< ? It's time to get away, questions later!
And so begins the trend of turning recently public domain properties into horror films. Your reaction is far better than the movie itself. Also RIP Eeyore, he deserved better than this.
Fun facts that some already know: • Throughout the movie, Pooh only says a total of two words, while Piglet remained silent. • Owl And Rabbit Can Be Seen On The Top Right When Pooh And Piglet Are Dragging Christopher Robin • Tigger was originally going to be in this film but he wasn't shown due to the copyright of Disney. • The movie poster features Winnie The Pooh holding a sledgehammer and Piglet holding a knife. In the actual film, Pooh uses a knife (as well as his bare hands) and Piglet uses a sledgehammer. • Production of the film became possible in 2022 after A.A. Milne's novel "Winnie-the-Pooh" (1926) entered the public domain in the U.S., which marked the first appearances of Winnie-the-Pooh, Piglet and Christopher Robin, thus lapsing the characters into the public domain. The film's characters could not, however, resemble the Disney versions, who debuted in 1966 and are protected by copyright. • This is the first live action movie of Winnie the Pooh that is not made by Disney, as well as the first one made for mature audiences. (Well yeah) • One of the movie's taglines, "We'll be friends forever....won't we?" is a line that Piglet invokes in the Winnie the Pooh books when he asks Pooh how long their friendship will last. It also carries a double meaning in the context of the film and it's story; as it mainly references Christopher Robin's belief at the start of the film that Pooh and his friends will still see him as their friend after being away for so long, which turns out to be false when they attack him; And that Pooh and his friends saw Christopher as their friend and guide, only for him to not return to them or send them food during his time away from them, which makes Pooh and Piglet attack them and disown him as their friend.
It's nuts how fast this was made once Pooh and friends (aside from Tigger) hit the public domain.
