Pray for us teachers. This is what we're fighting against. Parents and children listen to people like this and internalize it. Our children are already behind when they come to kindergarten. The cycle continues throughout their educational journey. Help us lawd😩
I come from dirt poor poverty. Mother died young, my father had another family. Seen him 4 or 5 times. I knew very early that knowledge was power. I read 300 books, I received my masters in 1988. Reading improves your writing as well as your communication skills. I agree with Roland Martin.
Slave owners didn’t want slaves to read because they knew that this ability would give us POWER. Reading is FUNDAMENTAL to every path of success.
So disturbing… 😢

I'm 65. My parents couldn't read or write. But they made sure I went to school to learn how to read, write, add, subtract, multiply, and divide. And understand what I was reading! Miss them everyday! Just listening to these idiots talk says it all!!!
