Tired of how we ( as a whole....community...people) continually ALLOW ourselves to be played.
The problem is that we, collectively, talk about, brag about and tout our SPENDING POWER, but we never talk about INVESTMENT POWER. Investing in Black Media, Education, Businesses, etc., is more important than consumer spending and yet, it is never really discussed in terms of a strategy. We boycotted Target by withholding our spending, but we did not strategize about where to effectively redirect those dollars or a portion of those dollars. All that is on us. We have to be better strategists financially.
I TRULY hope someone at Black Star Network reads these comments. I reached out via email about advertising about a year ago as directed and NO ONE EVER RESPONDED… Not hating on anyone or accusing folk of “bad business”, but you can’t ask for advertising dollars and then not respond when a business owner wants to do business with you. Just saying…
