I love it. I am a Black creek, but for some reason I was able to obtain my creek membership years ago. No-one informed us, I was up doing homework in the middle of the night, when a ancestry screen popped up. As I begin to plug my family members in it revealed my Grandfather was a Creek. I called the creek nation and they told me I would have to provide kinship to my grandfather. I came in and bought the paperwork showing the proof. I was given citizenship, I was able to include me seven children and 13 sisters and brothers.

Awesome!!! My wife has Chickasaw heritage and here in Oklahoma the Chickasaw Nation has embraced its black Chickasaws and awarded them all the same and equal benefits. Me, coming from Louisiana to Oklahoma in 1976, have always seen the Chickasaws in a very positive light, and I too benefit from their services.
A great victory of self-determination for all black communities and indigenous all around the world.
My family on my mother's side, are Creek Indians. Finally!!!
