For the record, Social Security is not an entitlement!! We are made to pay into the system.....that is our money. Please stop saying it is an entitlement.
Please don’t hype the 50 yr mortgage
Even a 300k home is out of reach of most people
It would be nice to see an episode for regular hard-working Americans, and not the rich elite
The episode stole my faith in humanity, and the comments brought it back. Love y'all. Happy new year.
All due respect to both these guys, but this interview was super tone deaf. The large majority of the actual middle class is trying their GD best to stay employed- even those in specialized industries. I’m an engineer in the Midwest- spent a long time making sure I could do my best at my job- bachelors degree, licensure, the whole deal. And when the entire engineering department gets replaced by AI, don’t sit there and FKIN tell me that I’m not working hard enough or smart enough or I’m not motivated enough. Sincerely hope this guy gets a reality check
Don’t take financial advice from this dude.
Rob, I gotta push back. For such a smart guy you said some dumb stuff. You just proved the point. You bought a house for 50k and sold it for 80k. I bet that same house is now worth 400-500k and that wasn’t that long ago. Have people’s incomes gone up 8-10x? No! Congrats, your housekeeper lives in an apartment that she can afford to pay $2,000 a month. So she pays $24k a year in rent alone. Not including the astronomical rise in cost of utilities and insurance that hasn’t reflected the rise in wages. Look , I’m the guy who’s worked 3 jobs to just get by and pay my bills and never got a dollar from anyone. But to sit and act like it’s the same situation with living expenses and housing cost 20-30-40-50 years ago, you’re wrong. It’s completely different. We’ve lost 99% of the value of the dollar. The country is more in debt than it’s ever been and it’s not slowing down. Property and houses have gone up astronomically as well as automobiles compared to your parents generation. It was fractions of the cost. Is the current young generation lazy, entitled ? Sure. Some are. Not all. But this isn’t a them problem, it’s an America problem and for you to be such a smart guy, yet ignore the most obvious facts is problematic in my opinion. Take another lesson in economics and realize the massive bubble we are in and the financial crisis that’s looming ; as you sit and pretend there’s nothing wrong with the economy, It’s just the people’s mindset lol you’re a joke
You know. For a lot of people the American dream isn’t to be an entrepreneurial multi-millionaire. It’s to lead a simple, quiet life where they go to work, come home, raise a family and spend quality time with their loved ones. But now that’s considered “lazy” because they don’t want to enslave themselves to someone’s business and be the cream of the crop and outwork everyone else? Some people have priorities other than a millionaire’s business and those people are the BACKBONE OF OUR SOCIETY. I don’t have a socialist bone in my body, but this is beyond the pale to present this as “American.” America is WE THE PEOPLE, the PEOPLE. Not the fucking robots who make greedy men wealthier. This is infuriating and insulting to all the hard working AMERICANS who still exist in ABUNDANCE.
Lmaoooo are we acting like 2100 rent is ok
