Description

Why are we here? Who are we? What is the meaning of life? We revisit an episode where Neil deGrasse Tyson and comic co-host Chuck Nice answer fan-submitted Cosmic Queries on topics that stem from the deepest thoughts, ideas, and feelings we share about our place in the universe. You’ll learn about the differences between human and chimpanzee DNA and what that could mean for humans in comparison to highly intelligent aliens. Do we have the intelligence of an alien toddler? Is the universe out of reach of the human brain? We debate how long humanity will last and you’ll hear why Neil has confidence humanity will last given the collective nature of our intelligence. Then, we dive into the big question: what is the meaning of life? Neil shares his thoughts on how he finds meaning in his own life. Discover more about the “vacuum” of space. How far behind or ahead we’d be if we didn’t have moon? Lastly, you’ll learn about higher dimensions and if they’re bleeding into our own universe. What do you think the study of astronomy would be like if the Earth didn't have a moon?

“You have the power to manufacture meaning”. That gave me goose bumps.

A few weeks ago, I was chatting with a friend about how manifesting never seemed to work for me. I’d tried so many methods but still felt stuck. We heard about a book called Manifest and Receive by Eva Hartley on a podcast, and I was hesitant at first. But after reading just a few chapters, I realized how much I was missing. Eva's approach is so different from anything I’ve ever tried. It’s not just about thinking positive, it’s about aligning with real-world actions that bring your desires into reality. Now, I’ve manifested opportunities I never imagined possible, and my mindset has shifted completely. If you’re frustrated like I was, don’t hesitate. Read this book. It will change everything ❤

Dr. Tyson and Sir Chuck in the same room is a mood. A very good mood.

I think the problem with school is that you stress out about grades rather than learning the material. It sucks that there’s not many ways to showcase that you retained the information rather than answering questions on a test, but that’s all anyone cares about. Another thing is that you are forced to learn things that we don’t really want to, and sometimes in ways that make it hard to retain the information. Tyson is good at taking huge concepts and dumbing them down to where most people can understand and grasp the information. Well done to him.

My favorite quote is "Be the change that you wish to see in the world". And that sir is exactly what you do. Much respect for you Neil. I love to learn because knowledge is a treasure or a wealth that nobody can take away from you.
