The Sun just exploded with a 1.3 X-class solar flare from a new sunspot group newly rotating into view, suggesting that solar flare activity is most likely to continue even as the four main groups that have been super active rotate out of view. The solar storm impact strengthened to G3+ levels causing a widespread aurora viewing event for the USA down even to states like Arizona, and a coronal hole is also rotating towards geoeffective and will connect to Earth in 5-6 days (approx.
