I was ready to stick to the plan. 100% tariffs, and drive their economy back into the 19th century.
30% China 10% US and China has also agreed to open their markets to the US and will also help stop Fentanyl across the southern border. This is still temporary for 90 days. Pretty much what this is in a nutshell.
I want decoupling. US China trade to 0
China topped out about 2018 with 22% of their exports being to the US. Before the tariffs it had already dropped to 15%. China is hostile to foreign companies and they have been bailing out for years already. I say leave the tariffs on because they are just using the money to build up their military and have been threatening all the countries around them and have openly stated they will take back Taiwan, even if this means by force. Let their economy collapse. The only problem I have is this does not help national security much as they just sent most of the manufacturing to Vietnam and India. It needs to be spread out more or brought back to the US.
Its much more than tariff percentage, its intellectual property theft, fent, currency manipulation, trade barriers, ect ect. Definitely a win for the US, at this moment. We shall see what happens. Hopefully you were not stupid enough to cash out and sell
No details on if China has agreed to obey the rules of the WTO or not.
I want decoupling. 🙋🏻♂️ I understand it'll take awhile and thats fine, but all those conditions you mentioned are not going to happen.
