My father escaped Cuba on a raft in the 80s. Originally went to Miami, eventually became a citizen, and built himself a great life. And for 45 years he's swore up and down he'll NEVER go back to visit that communist hellscape, a promise he's kept that entire time. Knowing his story, it's fucking annoying seeing all these communist praise Cuba and their government.
