Oh is it that "bug" again which Anthropic also struggles with almost daily for 2 years ? The "lets allocate less resources to the sucker customers" bug ?

Gpt5 launch, claude regression and now gpt5 codex regression. Its like online games, experience changes over time with patches

One thing I've noticed is that the model seems to have gotten "lazy". Sometimes I'll have to tell it to do the same thing 2 or 3 times, as it always responds with some type of confirmation message instead of just doing what I tell it to do.

Sometimes it even seems like when a bunch of Influencers start talking about a given model then a lot of people start using it and it becomes worse because there is not enough GPU capacity for the amount of users to get the best version of the model. They prefer to scale down the models instead of blocking access.

It feels like they aren't allocating enough resources to their services and choose to run them at slower speeds with lesser results as a sort of trade-off.
