The source of this mess is - again - npm being badly designed. If you could specify conditional dependencies then you could just import the weird stuff if you are on the weird environment. If your target is a modern ecmascript, it shouldn’t import basic functions that are already there.

I had the honor to meet James at last year's ViteConf (October 2025). Such a brilliant guy! At the afterparty, he gathered a rather large crowd of nerds (including me) who were just fascinated by the e18e project😄 His community does invaluable work, and I hope they'll continue to do so!
I broke prod becuase I removed a "polyfill". The polyfill wanted 2 arguments in reverse order than the standard thing is using.
