Taylor, i very much enjoyed this entire video. However, i have to disagree on a statement you made that a wilderness season is as a result of disobedience. The claim that a wilderness season is the result of disobedience collapses under biblical scrutiny. Scripture repeatedly shows that wilderness experiences are often initiated by God, not triggered by rebellion. Israel’s disobedience delayed their entry into the promised land, but the wilderness itself was originally the path God intended to take them because that route protected them from facing war (Exodus 13:17-18). He also used the wilderness to teach them and test their hearts (Deut. 8:2–3). Jesus—sinless and obedient—was led by the Spirit into the wilderness immediately after divine affirmation, not correction, to be tempted by the devil. (Matt. 4:1). Elijah entered the wilderness not because of failure, but after obedience and victory (1 Kings 19). While disobedience can bring consequences, Scripture does not support the reduction of wilderness seasons to punishment. Rather, the biblical pattern reveals wilderness as a deliberate space of preparation, purification of trust, and deepened dependence, often preceding greater clarity, authority, or fruitfulness. I had to say this because i don't want people to automatically blame themselves because they're in a difficult season. There were many, many times that the Israelites and other Bible characters disobeyed God later in Scripture and we don't see God plunging them into another wilderness season. The wilderness is not punishment, it's a spiritual training ground.
Joshua's obedience did not require his understanding of what God said to him. He didn't filter God's instructions through his own finite understanding. These topics are SO GOOD, and I love that you guys don't ask basic questions... Everything is deep! This podcast is where God led me over a year ago and has completely changed my walk and life. I appreciate everything you guys do to get this wisdom and information out! Always praying for you guys!!
i am so new to the Bible i just finished the Genesis. took me half a year to read it yet i finished it a week ago. now i am on the first page of Moses , i am crying because they speak about it a bit so i am excited to keep reading the bible and studying the biblical stories. thank you both for always including the biblical in everything you speak about. truly thankful.
At this point I think Taylor's legs qualify as their own guest on the show - their more front and center and in focus than anything else! Don't skip leg day Taylor! :D (A comment for the algo)
5:13 blaming everything on the devil and no accountability is literally how we stay bound
2:17:49 I am crying ......the fact that you two (4) are working on this now....when your babies are so young.......how much your lives will be blessed and theirs too! I raised my babies when I was still unhealed..... the yelling, the anger, the breakdowns...... oh my God forgive me how I hurt them! And you are so right, I aimed to never be like my parents, and ended up so much the same. My prayer 🙏 God heal my babies, help them through undoing all the trauma the received while growing up with a traumatized momma. I didn't mean to hurt you .....
Prayers please going to meet with a friend going to meet with a doctor before she has a liver transplant but I believe in a God who heals and miracles
Taylor said "God's most consistent trait is Redemption, not Prevention..." I practically had to rewind over to hear it again... Wow... This hit hard.... Thank you.
