Victor Marx: Survival, Deep Faith, and the Battle for Colorado's Soul

Discover how surviving unimaginable childhood trauma led one man to confront global terror missions and ultimately run for political office based on radical obedience to God.

Short Summary

  • Victor Marx details severe childhood abuse, including being forced to witness or participate in violence, leading to severe Post-Traumatic Stress (PTSD).
  • He shares powerful anecdotes of divine intervention, notably experiencing God physically shielding him from an abuser.
  • His understanding of the "Heart of the Father" evolved through extreme suffering and subsequent high-risk ISIS rescue missions alongside his wife.
  • A severe public attack last year solidified his choice to stand still through supernatural grace rather than fight back self-protectively.
  • He is now running for Governor of Colorado, viewing the campaign as a spiritual mandate to rescue the state from moral and civic decline.

This discussion pivots from deeply personal agony to profound spiritual clarity, demonstrating how God redeems the worst enemy actions, providing a roadmap for individuals facing overwhelming circumstances.

I am in tears. My uncle molested me and when he had a stroke I got on my face begging God to not take him until I knew he was saved. I went to see him a few days later. He was non responsive. My aunt to this day doesn't know that it happened. So I have to use care in the way that I pray for him?I can't say I forgive him because she is going to ask why. The first time he opened his eyes in days is when my aunt says to him Dawn is here. He opened his eyes and looked at me and then closed them again. The holy spirit led me and I prayed the prayer of salvation and told him that he did not need to say it out loud because God knew that he couldn't. I spoke to him and told him that if he prayed that prayer in his heart, that he was forgiven of everything that he had done in this life. That's he would see Jesus. He died within hours of me leaving. I think he truly needed me to forgive him And to walk him through salvation. I ask God a few weeks later If he had made it through the gates. I heard the holy spirit say so clearly he has a gown of salvation. There is power in forgiving people who do evil to you. It is redemptive on so many levels.

I was the bullied kid in school, from day-care to college. Was also bullied at home by my dad. I’ve endured “beatings” of every kind, and lived most of my adult life self-medicating and thinking God has better things to do than to look out for me. However, I’m now 4 years sober, in therapy, and have a true relationship with Jesus. Thank you Jesus!! I’m hoping it’s not too late to get married and have a family one day, but only if it’s God’s will. Thank ya’ll for this conversation, it was right on time, and I take it as no coincidence. God bless you!!

“People say…if a kid’s going to be born in a horrible circumstance, it’s better you terminate the life…Well, I’m proof that no other human has a right to determine what God can do in and through a person. And it’s not our right to determine life or death like that.” - Victor Marx.

Sometimes it‘s freaking NUTS how timely and on point these themes are. It makes me wonder if we are a family going through the same stuff at the same time… Wait, we are! Church was meant to be a family ❤ I love this family!

This interview is 1:39:10 long. God led me to Psalm 139:10… Even there Your hand shall lead me, And Your right hand shall hold me. Seemed very fitting for the testimony Victor gave about Jesus being with him and covering him during times of abuse.
