Mine is a 2023, just hit 20k miles. I run a lawn care business with mine (with electric mowers) and I'm pulling an enclosed trailer 6 days a week. The 240v outlet powers a panel in the trailer that all my charging equipment is hooked up to, so it's all contained. I just plug the truck in at night and everything is ready to go in the morning. Works great for me because of the nature of my work - I don't drive a lot of miles overall, but I am running it for 100% of my work day. Costs me $100-150 in electricity a month to power the truck and all the mowers and gear to mow around 70 properties a week. I'd be spending that every other day in gas with a traditional setup.

As an engineer who works on traction inverters, it is refreshing to see a practical truck like this. Sure the situation under the hood seems clumsy with all the hoses, but a lot of compromises have to be made during the process, and their benefits may not be visible to the eye. These designs have a come an extremely long way when looking at legacy electric vehicles and will continue to be perfected.

They still use the mast antenna because it picks up signals farther, this is important for people in the country and mountains.

Gives me a good bit of confidence to know a professional like you likes it. I have a 2024 flash and I love it. Something worth mentioning is that literally many of its parts are interchangeable with a regular f150. I had my cloth seats replaced with black lariat leather seats no issue. big reason why I choose it. I also like it because its a no nonsense EV. I don't want to look like I rode in from the future, I just want a regular looking vehicle.

Thanks for doing another video on this. I purchased a 2024 flash last November after having seen your first review of a lightning. It’s been an excellent truck!

42k miles on my 2023 and I bought it in March of 24. Best thing I've ever bought. Powered our house and charged neighbors phones during Helene. My favorite part is a lot of the parts are from a regular f150 and much cheaper than rivian and Silverado EV parts. It looks like a regular truck, not a microwave. 😂

A Silverado or Sierra Ev review would be interesting

I have a 2024 and I’m never going back to ICE. I love this truck.

17:43 the cover for the extra storage can be used as a "wall" to help keep things from moving around in the frunk. There are also aftermarket nets that clip to various points in the frunk. We use the frunk all the time and it is GREAT for camping to keep things dry. We also use the extra storage space as a cooler because it has a drain. The Lightning is a camping beast.
