We have been told for over 30 years now that all we have to do is vote and participate in the process and "things will get better". This has not happened. For anyone saying "This isn't how you effect change," History disagrees with you. In every instance of this repeated offense by the ruling elite, the outcome has always been the same: Full-scale, violent revolt against said ruling class. Failure to recognize the patterns dooms you to repeat this until you learn. The only people claiming this is an unacceptable response to the conditions Americans face are the ones who are very clearly on the side of the fence that is under threat. They are scared because they know there are more of us than there are of them. They say if we all take an eye for an eye the whole world goes blind, but We, The People, have more eyes to spare, how long can the elite class hold out?

The read I get from Luigi's manifesto is "Something needs to change and I don't know exactly what in the long term, but in the meanwhile I'm gonna make some short-term adjustments to the status quo."

Hard to feel bad for someone who decides who lives and dies and chooses them by how much it costs
