"Federally recognized" is a key phrase to pay attention to. There are many native American tribes not recognized by the US government.
I work at the DOI in Albuquerque. I’m proud of what she’s accomplished. And proud to work there.
What a strong leader. I wish her the best in her future endeavours and hope to see her seek more executive roles.
What an amazing person. Thank you Daily Show for putting the spotlight on her.
My great grandfather saw enough and was old enough to run from the school. At 90 he told me his story in the 70's as the eldest grandchild.
I worked with Deb at the Bakery when I was a young woman and 2 of her sisters. Wow! So proud of you Deb. I'll never forget you and your sisters. Beautiful human beings and friends.
In a world where you can be anything, first be kind.
I was so excited to see what she would do in that job and I have been super happy with her work.
That gift of the embroidered blanket to President Biden was incredibly thoughtful and ever so beautiful!
The Road to Healing part made me tear up. That’s so powerful. Also, Yay, New Mexico!!
