Why on earth does anyone trust anything the USA says.
They are draining down national reserves in the West to falsify prices. We again are being played.
Neither the US empire nor Israel should be trusted at all.
In my view Russia as well as Iran had made the same mistake: They want to play fair, give diplomacy a chance and let themselves be restrained in fighting with all their power. But negociations or agreements with the West are not worth it and only weaken both countries in their wars.

Minsk-1 Minsk-2 Istanbul peace process The 1990 Assurances: During negotiations over German reunification, Western leaders—including U.S. Secretary of State James Baker—floated the idea of keeping NATO from expanding its military presence past the East German border. Baker notably stated NATO would not move "one inch to the east" The Native Americans. Why would Iranians even accept or trust anything comes out of Americans?
You can't do deals with a rogue terrorist regime. But credit to Iran for trying.
