Russia interest rate cut. Fed interest rate cut
Analyzing Russian and US Monetary Policy Through Recent Interest Rate Adjustments
Discover how Russia strategically manages inflation via careful interest rate cuts while the US Fed prioritizes growth despite sticky inflation. Learn the contrasting monetary strategies shaping these major economies.
Short Summary
- Russia is successfully engineering inflation reduction (down to 4% underlying) by setting a measured pace for interest rate cuts, maintaining economic stability without recession.
- The US Federal Reserve, facing sticky inflation above 2%, cut rates by half a percent to stimulate slowing growth and reduce debt servicing costs ahead of potential tax cuts.
- Expect divergent monetary paths: Russia anticipates further controlled cuts toward 12% while Europe and Britain may see rates rise due to significant government borrowing pressure.
This analysis contrasts the conservative, inflation-focused approach of the Russian Central Bank with the growth-prioritizing stance of the US Fed, offering insight into current global economic maneuvering.

Russia is doing pretty well, considering. I can see with my own eyes here in Moscow that our capital is growing more and more beautiful every single month. Not just in the center, but in neighborhoods such as mine. And the same applies to much of Russia. If we were so pressed by sanctions, I hardly think we'd be forking out billions on aesthetics.
Remember how safe and prosperous the EU was and how it is now under von der Leyen and her Gang. A dangerous bankrupt dump
Russia decide how long this is going to take, and they set the rules for a Ukraine surrender deal. Not US who started this conflict, not EU/Nato. Russia stops when someone come to the table with a surender deal. Regards from Sweden
Bottom line is that Putin's team is much better than Ursula and Starmer put together.
Russia has been pressured very highly for the past years, and still the country remains strong, almost bulletproof. Interest rates being cut is just a normalisation of the situation. The had to raise them, now they lower them.
Brilliant Russia, great up to date coverage team.
A guy at work just returned from Russia, and his comment was if we want to try and crash their economy we should remove the sanctions. The sanctions have forced them to setup more and more industry locally. And if you think about it, it's better for their economy if they buy a local made Lada than a German made VW.
Thank you Alexander & Alex for your outstanding journalism. 🙏🇦🇺🦘
