I'm Australian, and the reality on the ground is that China is a better trading partner than the American, Japanese & British resource companies. The Americans, British & Japanese just don't pay up and do worse environmental damage than reported.

First rule of geopolitics: Ignore what they say - see what they do.

If Iran was weak (i don't think they're, and hope they're not) we should look to help them, not take advantage of them or look to harm them. This world is morally bankrupt. Its heartbreaking to watch.

Let’s see how serious this shift is, and if they will really ditch project Ukraine. Let’s also see if this shift will become a real war, or just a tariff/sanctions one. There aren’t many signs to be very optimistic at the moment.
