Trial Day 4: https://youtube.com/live/BzS200BlCd8 Trial Day 2: https://youtube.com/live/WquhJYWvGhM Sarah Boone is on trial for one count of Second Degree Murder for the killing of her boyfriend, Jorge Torres. She left him zipped in a suitcase despite his pleas for help. Boone is asserting self-defense and turned down a plea deal for a lesser charge of Manslaughter with a 15-year sentence shortly before trial. Boone has been in custody since February 2020, when this happened, and went through 8 state-appointed attorneys before the Judge determined that she must represent herself. At the end of August 2024, less than 45 days before trial, her current lawyers parachuted in and volunteered to take the case. The court denied their request for continuance because they took the case, knowing it would go to trial in early October. Jury selection began on October 14, 2024, after a short delay due to Hurricane Milton. The deliberating jury for second-degree murder in Florida is composed of six jurors. When I was about 10, my younger brother climbed into a suitcase and started using it as a sled down the stairs. We thought it was hilarious and he decided to have me zip it up to have an even more “fun” factor. He went down the stairs several times and then I thought it would be funny to lock it to scare him so I put the little padlock that came with the suitcase on the zipper. He was in there for about 30 seconds when he started to panic so I got the key to let him out. The key broke and he started saying he couldn’t breathe. I immediately grabbed the phone and called 911 to have the police come because I didn’t know what else to do. The police came-broke the lock with a pair of pliers and sat us down to talk to us about how dangerous climbing into things like trunks, freezers, suitcases, etc was. I was sooooo embarrassed, but-if I, as a 10 YEAR OLD, knew that someone in a suitcase could suffocate and die and immediately call 911, you can’t tell me that a grown ass woman doesn’t know!

Amazing me how those killers remember everything when the defense is asking but the state is asking....they don't remember 😂😂😂😂

Listening for the door to close, and for the car to leave became the only time in my day where I could catch my breath. I got away from him nearly 6 years ago, but even now my anxiety increases and I feel nauseous around 4pm, as he finished work at 4:30. I don’t like to doubt a potential DV survivor, but I wouldn’t ever have provoked him the way Sarah did. I can’t believe she would feel safe enough to go to bed, if she didn’t know for a fact that Jorge couldn’t get out of the suitcase.

4:34:35 wanna know what someone who fears for their life DOESNT DO? Turn their back and walk away from their abuser to GO TO SLEEP. The last thing you want is to be FUCKING UNCONSCIOUS when the abuser comes upon you. For. Fucks. Sake.

If she is claiming she does not remember even making those videos, how can we believe that she vividly remembers what happened between the videos?

The commentary in between is what makes this channel the best. "He got into the suitcase himself" "but he didn't zip it!" Exactly what we're all thinking.

The way the judge speaks reminds me of a pilot- "Good morning everyone. Today we will be flying for about two hours and are expecting an easy flight. Please enjoy your travel."
