MA v Karen Read Fallout Continues. Sgt. Sean Goode Suspended. Sarah Boone's lawyer trouble.
Accountability Spirals: Canton Officer Suspended, BPD Commissioner Dodges Questions, and MSP Tracker Vulnerabilities Exposed
Discover the immediate fallout regarding Canton police misconduct, the stunning refusal of the Boston Police Commissioner to address key facts, and investigative findings revealing how Massachusetts State Police cruisers can go dark.
Short Summary
- Sergeant Shaun Good faces paid administrative leave stemming from evidence uncovered in the Trooper Proctor phone investigation.
- Boston Police Commissioner Cox vehemently pushed back against inquiries regarding his communications with a key witness, claiming he should not be asked about the case again.
- Investigative reporting confirms MSP vehicles possess a tracking "kill switch," a feature exploited by Proctor during documented drinking sessions.
- The Sarah Boone appeal process cleared a significant bureaucratic hurdle after she directly contacted the appellate court.
This session details sweeping developments across Massachusetts law enforcement agencies triggered by the ongoing Karen Read fallout and related evidence review. We analyze official statements about disciplinary actions in Canton, critique Commissioner Cox’s handling of credibility accusations, and dissect a major security lapse found within MSP vehicle tracking systems. These issues signal that systemic problems continue to surface months after the initial trial.

I love that Karen reads team is going after every single one of them for lying on the stand
Real good point on LYK this afternoon: Did Proctor ever turn off his GPS device during the Read investigation (such as whether he was or was not on scene when he wasn’t supposed to be). Discovery in the civil case is going to be wild.
Replay crew here- a thought. Thank you Ms Reed for refusing to bow to the forces against you and thank you Mr Jackson for recognizing she shouldn’t ( and all the unsung hero’s behind that) and- reluctantly but none the less sincerely- thank you Former trooper Proctor for being the unwittingly best whistleblower ever.
Just IMAGINE if Karen had taken a plea deal out of fear…. I mean, seriously. The amount of accountability and corruption that needed to be uncovered.
The "meh" response to John's death and investigation sure makes me think it's an inside job. >.> it's just WAY too suspicious.
“This has nothing to do with our office.” - Cox I would guess because it has everything to do with the crime scene being at Brian Albert’s, one of “Boston’s Finest” front yard. Canton’s police report didn’t even spell out ‘Brian’ in their report - they used “B. Albert” and they didn’t even use the correct house number, 34. Instead they used “32”. It’s pretty obvious to me that the BPD was doing everything possible to cover for the homeowner of the crime scene.
I was a cop for 25 years, retired medically after a line of duty accident at the rank of Chief of Police (Working Chief). Workers Comp sent me to college to "rehab" me, I graduated with a 4.0 from University with a degree as a Legal Assistant, interned with the District Court of my State as a Paralegal law clerk for a District Court Judge. I accompanied him throughout his day including in chambers meetings with the attorneys to take note and prepare documents for the Judge in his duties. It was fun as hell, and I was hooked on the law. I never got to work in my new career because the results of the accident surgical repairs failed leaving me totally disabled and cancer jumped in costing me a kidney but I still enjoy the law. I am indeed a law nerd. Thanks for the entertaining dose of legal disassembly of cases, they make the law much more fun, and I still live for fun at 75 years of age.
Boston cop died on the lawn of a Boston cop and a Boston cop was called as a witness in the case with damning statements to the FBI. The commish says "nothing to see here"
You need the sound board of the scene in Princess Bride where she comes out screaming “Liar! LIIIAAAARRRRRR!”
Commissioner Cox has guaranteed he will be asked again and again and again and again
