You have helped so many of us feel more comfortable in the legal system. I am my son’s conservator and I was shaking every time I went to the court until I started following you.
This DA is so unlikable that she's already making me empathetic to the defendant. I'd be a terrible juror.
In all the trials I have watched so far, I've liked the Prosecution. I was starting to wonder if I had a pro-state bias, but this Prosecutor has put my mind at ease. As it turns out, I can dislike them just as much as I dislike certain defense lawyers.
In the UK both employer and employee would be held accountable. The workplaces safety culture was very poor and the employer couldn't be bothered to fix it. As an armourer she has a duty to be checking vigorously on set that the weapons and weapons supply's are correct and the checks documented.
Why does the female prosecutor always sound like she’s about to burst into tears?
1:06:15 The problem isn't only the attorney-client comms, the problem is giving him all of Gutierrez's texts gives him knowledge of everything that his chief scapegoat was saying to everyone, so he can use them to craft his own statements. They can shout from the rooftops that the gunpowder didn't match PDQ, but who else would know to and be so easily able to ensure that any rounds he brought on to set didn't match? Frankly, Kenny was never treated as a witness, but as a member of the investigative team, from day one, when he was absolutely a chief suspect - he was defacto armorer on that set, hired by Halls, not Gutierrez, because he was cheap and had worked with Halls on his previous, documented to be non-union, unsafe sets. Gutierrez should never have taken the job for the same reasons that experienced ones refused it - 8 days was not enough to run a safe set. Halls was hired to run a cheap set, no matter the real cost, and the State has been negligent in identifying who the real dangers to the community are.
This trial is going to be a knife fight in a phone booth with these attorneys!.
Distractions used to be, “Squirrel!” Now it’s “Woodpecker!” 😂
1:51:27 lmao yes! I hit that point about a decade ago - suddenly I went from “why the hell do old people like birdwatching?” to “oh my god! A tufted titmouse!” I was 30. Lmao
Hahahaha “smoking weed, with the ammo, in the hotel room” sounds like a game of Clue has me dying
