A bit of clarification: Tau Scaling Law is an overall idea that instead of improving chips by focusing on shrinking transitots, you can improve them by reducing the time (τ) it takes for singals to propagate. Huawei says LogicFolding is one such techniques and others will presumably be announced later. ---- If you like learning about engineering, you can get 20% off IEEE Spectrum: http://spectrum.ieee.org/fridaycheckout20
CXMT has made incredible leaps recently. Great to see a new contender.
Logic folding sounds like impressive engineering.
It’s logic folding, not chip folding. The traditional 2D chip circuitry is divided into multiple layers while maintaining the same logical behavior. Because the signals travel shorter distances between components, the result is a faster and more efficient equivalent circuit/chip.
NGL, I will not miss "Stonks". Love the show otherwise. Please keep up the great work!
00:22 very good news finally some real competition
I guess youre the first youtuber ever who’s sponsored segments made me genuinely interested in their products.. First 80000 hours and now IEEE spectrum both of which i was glad to come to know about!
I like how you admitted the lack of stonks content instead of just creating filler content and retaining that section.
China has a 2030 strategy thing going since a while now. Something tells me, it's going quite well o.o...
Dude you got an IEEE spectrum sponsorship again. Congratulations 🎉🥳. Regarding Hauwei presentation, I would say that's how bland it feels in almost all academic conferences.
