This was one of the best interviews I’ve heard on the web for a long time. I give the interviewer credit for doing his homework, being well prepared and overall asking, intelligent questions.

The LCS frigate may find a new mission and life here. Seen as a 'little crappy ship' for most of it's development and lifetime if you turn it into a 'drone tender' almost like a mini-aircraft carrier escorting the landing ships in a 'counter-drone' role... that might work. They would have extremely short range, extremely fast, drones in a 'Combat Air Patrol' concept creating a bubble in the battle-space where drones would find it very difficult to exist long enough to reach attack range of the troop carriers. At least until you had a 'beach head' and could setup an anti-air defensive system.

Interesting to note that you can make a fusion bomb with Uranium that is enriched as little as 20%. You just need a lot of it and probably something like a ship to deliver it. With 60% U, no problem at all. However if you want to be able to deliver it on a ballistic missile, that is where you need the really high level of enrichment so that you can build a bomb small enough and light enough for that delivery system.

Read his books. Note the publication dates. Trust me you will be extremely impressed by how well he lays out the trend lines and the outcomes. For instance, in his last book, he basically was going over the path of exactly what was happening and his timeline was caveated with, 'unless the Americans actually start it and then all bets are off...' referring specifically to the ME. That was published before Trump was even in office. The man does the reading... every night apparently.
