All the politicians sold us is that the economy is going to grow like we've never seen and how great it was for America... All lies... They didn't say that the corps would close down and move... Not one word... All lies... First Reagan gave the big TAX breaks to the elites (at the same time taxed Social security) to make up the intake revenue.... Now Jay look around it was all a lie for the Elites.. Just like it is today

Re-industrialize all you want, but where are the trained or skilled labor? How is the constant cutting of America's education budget helping?

This country is finished. Right now online people are talking about how people are no longer buying cars due to the fact that they can no longer afford them. An F-150 is around 80-85 thousand. People can't afford them. Car lots are full. People are going into foreclosure with their homes. They can't afford rent, car payments. They are financing food. The vast majority of Americans are already in debt hundreds of thousands of dollars. There is no way they can pay for anything higher. How much is an 80 thousand dollar car going to cost?

When an empire is built on stealing bombing and printing basically a ponzi scheme economy its only a matter of time this would happen.

Us is stuck in 20th century while everyone caught up and beyond

Two things you are missing is the brain trust that was lost as America offshored everything and the education system that trains those brains that turned from STEM powerhouses that put men on the moon into cultural Marxist indoctrination centers that refuse to tell you what a man or woman is. Most of the grads from the US high tech university stream are actually from other countries and like China just discovered, US grads no longer make the grade in Chinese industry compared to those who studied in China. The US no long produces the top grads and they can't come close to the volume of Chinese grads that exit the system every year and enter the workforce. In addition, the Chinese system implemented what was only pilot projects and talk in US and even the Canadian system and that is industry immersion while in university. The Co-op programs that see students spending time doing hands on work in industry in conjunction with studies is common in China, so by the time graduation happens, the student is integrated and cross trained to handle far more than one job and jobs are offered prior to the end of their degree. Just as energy is only one part of the puzzle, education is another. Given the fragmented western view on practically everything, it's going to take crisis to pull the parties together to come up with solutions.
