Description

The traditional way show business has operated is rapidly collapsing, the victim of technological change, consumer preferences and the weight of its own bloat. What’s likely to emerge is a much more streamlined, accessible method for producing TV shows and movies, with many of the barriers to entry dramatically reduced. TJDS guest hosts Russell Dobular and Keaton Weiss, along with guest Gary Buechler of Nerdrotic, discuss the collapse of Hollywood’s traditional way of doing things and how content will be produced in the future. In a nutshell- Robert De Niro seemed macho, cool and mysterious in Goodfellas...... but in real life, he's a short angry old dude

Hollywood really started it’s demise 20 years ago. It was the dawning of the age of prequels and reboots, the death of creativity.

Social Media killed celebrity worship. We were over exposed to them, got to know them as people and got an insight into their everyday thoughts and it turned out they were vapid, egotistical and out of touch with everyday people.

I live in Los Angeles. Not the Hollywood hills and we are tired of having to deal with the filth and crime as celebrities preach to us from behind their mansion gates and limo windows.

Hollywood is like the Sixth Sense. They simply don't know they're dead yet.

I was a store manager of a small video store for three years and then Blockbuster for nine. I really miss those days. The internet, particularly smart phones, has isolated us more than most want to acknowledge or admit. Gen z will never know what REALLY hanging out with your friends was like. What a sad life "progress" has created. Are we really advanced?

Let’s be real. Trump didn’t break Hollywood. Trump running as a real Republican showed that Hollywood was broken.
