Establishment CAUGHT RIGGING California Governor’s Race! w/ Elaine Culotti

Jimmy welcomes to the show Elaine Culotti, an independent candidate for California governor, to talk about the rigging of the upcoming gubernatorial debate at USC that will exclude all candidates of color and the only independent voice in the race—while engineering a spot for San Jose Mayor Matt Mahan, a Democrat backed by Silicon Valley billionaires with ties to USC. She and Jimmy discuss how the "jungle primary" system was designed to produce two Democrats, but the establishment now fears Republicans might win and is using debate criteria that punish candidates who have been in the race longer while rewarding latecomers who raise money quickly. Culotti calls the process a "complete corruption" that disenfranchises California's 41% of voters who are independent or undecided, and announces a press conference at 11 a.m. on March 24th in Pacific Palisades to demand fair representation. Culotti contrasts her working-class roots—starting with a shoe-shine business and hot dog stands—with the elite donors propping up her opponents, and promotes her "Great American Credit Union" plan to fund infrastructure through investment rather than taxing billionaires who will simply leave the state.
