As a non-American hearing democrats called left wing has always cracked me up. The US doesn't have a left wing outside of third parties that will never get voted in. You essentially have far right and centre right and until someone like Bernie or Mamdani is put in charge of the democratic party you'll never have anything close to a left wing Government get elected.

Zohran has the winning strategy. He won over maga voters. You need someone to galvanize the public like Barrack Obama did in 2008... except with actual good policies.
