kudos to Sam for not letting the guest hand wave big oil’s influence in the war’s continuation
I wish Emma had a chance to speak more!!
No more big oil!
It is a multi-generational crime how the automobile industry brainwashed people back in the 50s to force car dependency on everyone. If not for our car dependent society, we might not be in this mess today with the petro dollar, among many other problems created by the car lobby.
We COULD go all out for nationalizing the oil. Americans have no self respect though. Iranians pay 15 CENTS per gallon
They just said 6 years telm we get back to $3 gas, so not when war is over
Trump promised them a windfall didn't he?
*$151.83* Exxon stock price on 3-3-2026, one day AFTER the strait of Hormuz was blocked. *$149.33* Exxon current stock price today.
Give back to shareholders? 😂 Exxon stock has barely moved since this started. It's more like the CEO and board of directors are keeping the profits for themselves.
Biggest shareholders of oil stocks are most likely retirement investment accounts like Vanguard, Fidelity, et al. Over time, price volatility discourages oil exploration, and oil companies actually make less $ than they would w stable predictable prices and lower liability for their infrastructure. Really sucks when you spend billions and rigs are destroyed by war.
