Jim Irsay was a real one. He and the Colts sent a huge arrangement of blue and white flowers to my gma’s funeral some years back. I’ll never forget that.
Mr Irsay is the golden example of a man who understands the struggle of humanity and was always available to lends a hand to those in need. A man truly deserving of his wealth. RIP
Sorry for your loss Pat— praying for you, Mr. Irsay’s family, and the entire Colts organization. You can tell that Mr. Irsay was an amazing man, and that he inspired you. I hope you continue to fulfill his legacy. You’ve made him so proud.
My friend and colleague - diagnosed with cancer and worked as a driver for Mr Irsay Several of us took turns staying with and taking care of our friend. Mr Irsay made sure he had the best care , doctors and team physicians. He paid for his housing and care. He went then to LA to visit Center of Hope. He paid again for care, housing and treatment until he passed away. He made sure we had a space for a celebration of life , paid for everything and went a HUGE aray of flowers. I have never been more impressed how the head of the Colts made sure our friend was well taken care of until the day he passed. RIP Mr Irsay - Aussie is waiting for you at the gates of heaven. We never got to meet him but he made sure Aussie was cared for and loved til his last days. Forever thankful
If every billionaire was like Jim Irsay the world would be a better place with far less problems. Rest in Peace Jim.
Seeing pat choked up hit me hard
This was actually really touching and beautiful Pat. Any person would hope a friend would talk about them like you talked about Jim.
I had 4 young nephews that all played football, loved the Colts but had never been to a game. I wrote to Jim with their story and pictures in their uniforms. Next thing I know Pete Ward calls me up with 5 tickets in the premium seats, touchdown club access and personal parking pass. We went to the last home game of '04 when Peyton hit Stokely to break Marino's single season TD passing record. What a great, kind and generous man! RIP Jim Irsay. God bless.
As a commanders fan I will always appreciate him. He made it possible for us to get our team back. Rest in peace Jim.
Such a beautiful tribute for your friend, Pat. Everyone should be blessed with friends like you, man.
