This is why the Penner/Walton group is so good. Rebuilt the broncos training facility on Dove Valley. Bought a chunk of land in west Denver (still downtown) to build a new stadium … with zero public money.

The Indiana legislation makes taxpayers foot the tab. Porter County officials already said NO, they will not approve the new taxes.

So, the middle class and working poor get to pay more of their money in taxes for the billionaire owner. Why not just pause or cut some of the taxes at the stadium in some form and the owners finance it, instead of screwing over the taxpayers???

even as a NW Indiana resident, I find it hard to believe it's gonna happen. no way they purchased 300+ acres of land for nearly $200M and are gonna flake on it. the amount of infrastructure needed to be built up around Hammond alone. upgrading/adding South Shore Line train stops, building hotels, etc. all to just be in a slight breeze's pathway of the BP refinery and steel mills.
