In the civil rights movement era, those were college kids.

Imagine if the previous generations said this to those fighting for the right to vote.

You gentlemen have it wrong, it’s the NIL money that chases the athletes, not the other way. A elite recruit can get his or her money from any school willing and able to pay….Oregon, USC, Michigan have the same resources as the SEC schools….this is a moment where the athletes have the leverage. And the boycott should not just be on the athletes, the students, the faculty members, black professors can also boycott these southern universities and take their talents to other places

I say this with respect to all ppl but if our top athletes really go to hbcus these PWI would PANIC!! ITS SO DISGUSTING THAT THEY MAKE BILLIONS off us and use our talents etc. they would do everything on their power to stop top prospects form going to hbcus or other small colleges watch! All it takes is brothers that's ranked very high to go to diff schools

They are forgetting that the civil rights era was driven by young black men and women. There used to be a time where when you turned 16 you were considered a man. Nowadays you’re a kid. There’s the problem right there. The other problem is that our youth can be bought. When people choose money over community, that community bound to fail. It’s pretty obvious why ours has failed.

It NEEDS to be done or they'll keep running over Black Americans. Too many institutions have gained way too much off of Black backs and struggle without any real payback

It's up to us, as elder black Americans, to educate our young black athletes as to why what they are doing is important, and how much power that they really have to make a difference!

I would have preferred if the NAACP just said Black Athletes and Entertainers because then it holds the adults accountable to lead the way
