The Frankfurt School is the source of critical theory which is basically what we call "wokeness" today.

I was a Comp Literature major in college in the 2010's and every sector of my major was inundated with critical theory. What we think of now as wokeness is the underpinning of critical theory. It's "my truth" exemplified. Colleges are completely saturated with it.
