As of early February 2026, the Trump administration announced it is pulling 700 Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Border Patrol agents out of Minnesota, effective immediately, following increased cooperation from local law enforcement. Roughly 2,000 federal agents are expected to remain in the area to continue enforcement efforts.
