It took Reagan and a 6-year quasi-Republican congress almost 8 years to reverse the Carter economic doldrums. The Republicans held congress through the last 6 Clinton years and that allowed the economic improvement to continue giving us almost 20 years of prosperity. Carter was just inept, but Biden came in with almost all of the worst of the Obama administration, and they were determined to make it Obamas third term. I will be shocked if Trump can cut inflation and reverse the debt in less than 4 years. The Republicans in congress are not as aggressive as the crop of the 80s and 90s. Reverse migrating a lot of the illegals who came in under Biden will make housing much more affordable and available. Best of luck to him.
