The actual report said that it was inconclusive since the bullet was fragmented, it never said that the bullet didn't match the rifle, these headlines are very dishonest.
"Does not match" And "Could not be matched" Words matter but only to honest people.
Does not match and cannot match are two very different things.
The idea you can definitively match bullet to rifle is a hollyweird myth. Under ideal conditions if the bullet maintains integrity throughout you can get pretty close, but if it bounces around and fragments you arent going to get those clean striation patterns needed to "match" the bullet to the stippling of the rifle. Media are being intentionally obtuse or at the very least are too incompetent to perform the bare bones basic requirements of their jobs if you want to give them the benefit of the doubt.
This is why the trial should be live and if the defense truly believed they are innocent they should want it to be televised to show people the injustice.
hypothesis; fragment is too small/in poor condition to trace it to a gun.
Bullets don’t match like they do in tv shows.
They did not say it doesnt match. They said inconclusive which is common when a bullet fragments after going through bone & tissue
If the bullet fragmented it will not match any rifle LOL the only way to match a bullet to any firearm is if the bullet is still intact
I hate media. "Inconclusive" is not "doesn't match."
